Greenbank Pensioner and Residents Social Club in Whitehaven have recently had a massive refurbishment, upgrading the club to modern standards. Now to finish off the works, and to see the club in it’s final glory; we need the external walls washed and repainted.
The Club was formed by the Greenbank Pensioners in around 1950, it started from a wooden hut which was donated to them, and the land which was donated by Lord Lonsdale for the use of Greenbank Pensioners and Residents.
Greenbank Pensioners and Residents Club is a not for profit organisation, over the years the club has been supported by the community of Greenbank pensioners and residents for social and community activities.
After a number of years of fundraising to achieve the £100,000+ refurbishment we’d appreciate any support available. Thank you!
