An ambitious and exciting new project to up-skill adults with Autism, reduce waste to landfill and produce refurbished goods is being launched by Autism Support Allerdale and Copeland. The projects will also help develop friendships, social skills, build self esteem in what can be an isolating life for many of our members.
We need a number of resources and equipment to support the group , for example: Paint Brushes, 4″ Rollers, dust covers, masking tape, wood glue, Sandpaper/Blocks, assorted paints/primers for furniture, a battery operated drill and a belt sander.
We would also like to collect reasonably sized furniture items to upcycle including: sets of drawers, small cabinets, coffee tables, lamp tables and cupboard handles/knobs.
The finished products will be given away for a reasonable donation.
