Looking for your next challenge? Why not become a trustee!

Partial Match

The Carnegie Theatre Trust is a charitable incorporated organisation that operates and manages the Carnegie Theatre & Arts Centre in Workington, Cumbria.

The Trust took over the venue from Allerdale Borough Council in May 2015. Five years later and we’re looking to embark on a project which will potentially re-vision and transform the Carnegie into a venue that is fit for the future.  We need professionals to join our Board of Trustees to help us define our new vision, plan and scope out options to redefine the organisation, what it offers and how it offers it and make strategic decisions that will be needed to source vital funding both to make the project a reality and keep the venue operating into the future.

Trustees can come from all walks of life and the role is thoroughly rewarding. You will be leading the transformation of a very busy theatre, arts centre and cafe (approx 33,000 visitors per year minimum) into a venue fit for the future. You will be supporting a team of paid staff and army of volunteers who make the Carnegie what it is today.

Our trustee role description is attached and an induction pack is available from our website: https://carnegietheatre.co.uk/home/the-board/
